State-of-the art manufacturing equipment will provide a productivity edge
MONTREAL: Intertape Polymer Group Inc. plans to relocate its Columbia, SC manufacturing operations within the same region.
The Montreal based manufacturer of pressure sensitive and water activated tapes, polyolefin films, woven fabrics and packaging systems, is investing $26 million in the new Richmond County facility.
Intertape Polymer said it will have state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment that will provide productivity gains, a better work environment and feature advanced environmental controls. It anticipates annual productivity gains and energy savings of more than $13 million.
Relocation and the eventual shutdown of the current plant will be complete during 2015.
