Firefighters are using foam to fight the flames
THE HAGUE, Netherlands—A major fire has broken out at a chemical plant operated by oil giant Shell near the port city of Rotterdam, according to Dutch emergency services.
The Security Region Central and Western Brabant said in a tweet that nobody was missing or injured in the fire that broke out late Tuesday.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Local media is reporting people across a wide area heard blasts over a wide area and could see the flames soaring into the night sky.
