Who’s hired, who’s moving around in the supply chain sector
Paul Polkinghorn is the new director of business performance at Seattle, Washington-based Lynden International. In this newly created role, Polkinghorn will develop and analyze Lynden’s business intelligence to provide strategic direction to the company and management team. He joined Lynden, which operates a number of logistics businesses including air and ocean forwarding services, and LTL deliveries, after serving as logistics analysis manager for Starbucks corporate supply chain operations.
Damco, a 3PL division of AP Moller-Maersk, has a new global head for the industrial vertical. Steve Hoffman will be responsible for developing the global strategy for customers in the industrial manufacturing sector. Before joining Damco, Hoffman held a similar position at Kuehne + Nagel. He will be based out of Itasca, Illimois and report to Steve Sienkiewicz.
Alv Hill has been named as interim executive vice-president of London, UK-based OAG Cargo. He will be responsible for increasing the company’s competitiveness and for expanding the company’s reach in new markets in South America, Asia and Africa. OAG Cargo is part of the UBM Aviation Group. It supplies data, market intelligence and news about the global aviation and air cargo industries.
