Naeem Farooqi is now director of business development for supply chain solutions at Toronto, Ontario-based Neopart LLC. He was formerly program analyst at Metrolinx, where he implemented the spare parts distribution program for the government public transit agency. Neopart was the agency’s private sector partner.
Mississauga, Ontario-based Trailer Wizards Ltd has a new senior account manager. Dan Holt will cover Ontario from Scarborough to Cornwall. He will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounts, as well as generating new business in eastern Ontario.
Owen Moore was named as executive vice-president of sales at Toronto, Ontario-based BSM Technologies Inc. Before joining the remote fleet management, diagnostic and automated systems company, he was president and co-founder of Grey Island Systems International, an Internet-based, real-time vehicle monitoring and arrival prediction system manufacturer.
The Montreal Port Authority has a new board director. Germain Thibault will serve on the board until October 31, 2015. He succeeds Jean Depelteau, whose term began in 2009.
Gary Drouin has been appointed to the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada. He will serve as a part-time member for a four-year term. Drouin has worked for Transport Canada for over 30 years and is a specialist in rail safety.
Gary Atkinson was appointed to a four-year term on the board of the Blue Water Bridge Authority.
The Great Lakes Pilotage Authority’s board of directors has a new vice-chair. Danièle Dion, a lawyer who specializes in admiralty litigation, transportation and insurance law, will serve in the position for three years.
