November 15 is the date for employers to connect with potential Toronto-area employees
TORONTO, Ontario—Not content to accept that there is a labour shortage in the logistics industry, a number of companies are reaching out directly to potential employees.
UPS, Stock Transportation, Canadian Tire, and Target will all participate in a job fair this week.
The event, put on by vpi Inc, is taking place on November 15 at the North York Civic Centre, located at 5100 Yonge Street, between 5:00PM and 7:30PM.
“These employers have a wide variety of positions available, so we encourage everyone—even those without work experience—to come down and embrace this opportunity,” says Tatiana Tudoran, vpi director of public partnerships.
Other organizations participating in the event include SunLife Financial, Arise 3rd Party Call Centre, J and F Home Child Care, ING Direct, Canadian Armed Forces, MCIS Language Interpreters, VHA Home Health Care, Wegz Stadium Bar (Woodbine Entertainment) and Mona Home and Office Cleaning.
