Eaton's Steam Slayer Hose boasts 10:1 burst safety factor.
Eaton Corporation announced a new line of steam hose, Steam Slayer, engineered to maximize safety. The hose combines a specially blended chlorobutyl tube with high-tensile steel wire reinforcement and an Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) cover to produce a hose with a 10:1 burst safety factor. In side by side testing conducted by the company, the Steam Slayer withstood more than 2,000 hours of saturated steam at 407°F. The hose is available in .5-in., .75-in. and 1-in. ID sizes.
