Role Summary
ImagineAbility is a registered charitable organization that provides meaningful employment and related programs for people with a wide range of intellectual disabilities residing in the City of Winnipeg. The many support programs offered to ImagineAbility’s client employees are funded in part by commercial services that are operated in house.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO plans, coordinates, controls, evaluates and leads the organization. The successful candidate will ensure that the organization is staffed with employees of the highest character and skills, and is committed to the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization. The President & CEO ensures sustainable growth through the establishment of partnerships and alliances with various stakeholders through compelling presentations and business cases. Working effectively with the management team, the President & CEO is responsible for continually improving on a Performance Excellence Culture of Leadership, Organizational Effectiveness and Customer Focus.
Job Description
The Product Development Co-ordinator is expected to work in support of the Product Development Manager, collaborating closely with raw materials developers, bioplastics researchers, polymer testers, certification bodies and production partners. S/he will research and develop test scripts and plans at all junctures of the product development cycle, to ensure the highest quality of technology innovation for each customer application.

As the ideal candidate, you are a visionary leader known for your ethics, integrity and reliability. You have a solid business background and financial acuity that is balanced with approachability and visibility, and you enjoy being on the shop floor. Experience with people with disabilities would be beneficial, as would experience with the not for profit sector.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
- Post secondary degree or diploma
- 5 years experience in a senior management position or a suitable combination of education and experience
- Business operations experience
- Experience managing human resources
Knowledge Areas
Understanding in the following areas would be beneficial:
- Disabled Community
- Not for profit
- Fund raising
- Working with a Board of Directors
- Working with government partners
